Brighton PD are investigating a stabbing outside the French Court apartments. A male victim was located outside and transported to the hospital, the condition of the victim is unknown at this time. The French rd elementary was temporarily put into lockdown. News 8 WROC

RFD battling a house fire on Seward st. Crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from roof of home. Occupants weren’t home at time of fire and no injuries to ffs.The fire had created some holes in the floor causing some challenge for ffs. Cause under investigation. News 8 WROC

Just another day in the office! NYS canal corporation launching its goat pilot program along the Erie Canal today. They will begin using goats to help clear brush in dense and hard to reach areas along the canal to help to better see areas needing improvement.

Fire crews are back on scene at a house on Pullman Ave that sustained significant damage from a fire this morning. Waiting to hear from the chief as to what brought them back just a few hours later News 8 WROC

Breaking: MCSO and Pittsford fire are on scene of an mva on Clover st and Framingham ln in Pittsford. Ambulance just arrived on scene moments ago, I can see at least one car that appeared to have been on fire. Will have updates as we learn more News 8 WROC

On scene of an accident on Culver rd near Wahl rd in Irondequoit, a single vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, parked vehicle and a house before flipping. The female driver was extricated, transported to hospital with serious injuries. Cause is unknown at this time. News 8 WROC

Fire crews were called to the west side of the city for a 2nd alarm working fire on Canal st. The fire was contained to a singular apartment within this building. No injuries and the cause is under investigation. The only occupants displaced are the ones from that apt. News 8 WROC

RFD at a vacant home on St Paul st where a rubbish pile in the back of the home caught fire. The back exterior wall caught fire, but ffs were able to extinguish it before it was able to spread into the home. No injuries to any first responders. News 8 WROC

Why do people continue to turn left from a right/straight only turn lane at w broad and w main st.? That was changed months ago when they finished the paving yet people don’t read the signs, I can’t count the number of times I’ve almost been hit when turning. 🙄

RFD responding to a working fire on Saratoga Ave. On scene, crews found a victim on the 2nd floor of the vacant home. The home was boarded up, ffs removed the boards and made entrance to get the fire under control. Victim was rescued with ladder and refused medical care. News 8 WROC

RPD investigating a shooting at the intersection of Arnett Blvd and Rugby Ave. A male in his late 20s was shot in lower body and transported to Strong with non life threatening injuries. No suspects in custody at this time News 8 WROC
