Em does a phenomenal job covering the city for the RTD. Despite its loss of staff, the Times-Dispatch still has the broadest and deepest coverage in town.

As shown in her post, Em is all over the city government. To write that the RTD specifically doesn't staff Richmond meetings is false.

Destination unknown? Richmond Times-Dispatch publisher Kelly Till said today paper is leaving downtown #Rva HQ April ‘25. No word - yet - where news, mrkting folks will go. Maybe Hanover plant? Quitting #Rva after generations there would cut literal, figurative bond w/ our core audience.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch has announced it will move its newsroom from downtown to its printing press in Hanover County in early 2025. The Times-Dispatch has been in the city for more than 150 years, and we find this news troubling for employees, readers and the community.
