Kicking off #WomensHistoryMonth with author, poet & activist, Emma Lazarus. Best known for “The New Colossus" written in 1883, the sonnet raised money for the construction of Lady Liberty's pedestal. In 1903, the sonnet was cast in bronze and mounted on the pedestal! 🗽
