Interesting stories of what amazing careers English graduates have gone on to pursue! #EnglishCreates #englishcareers #englishgraduate

Am so proud of the day that Ellie Dobson and I coordinated, and hugely grateful to all our chairs and speakers (from across the world as well as in Mason Croft) for their amazing contributions! Thanks to College of Arts+Law and Loughborough English and VPFA for their support for our event.
The sun is out at Shakespeare Institute contrary to the forecast! Excited for delegates to get to see Corelli's garden in all its glory 🌞 #Corelli100
Born on this day: Marie Corelli. My research indicates she was born in 1854 (not 1855 as previously assumed), so I believe that this year marks the centenary of her death, AND 170 years since her birth. Looking forward to commemorating her life and work on Saturday at #Corelli100
Jo's discoveries enormously impact our understanding of who Marie Corelli was and the breadth of her diverse career. Exciting that the publication of some of these findings coincides with the centenary of Corelli's death - and #Corelli100 of course...!
Exceptionally excited to see Dr Emily Vincent's article on the Gothic nursemaid in this issue of CUSP: Late Nineteenth/Early Twentieth C. Cultures. Take a look for Henry James's 'The Turn of the Screw' & Florence Marryat's 'The Blood of the Vampire' & 'Little White Souls', read in light of spiritualism and empire 🦇
We are delighted to share our provisional programme for #Corelli100 Tickets are available to book now at commemoratingcorelli.wordpress.com for in-person or zoom attendance.
It’s going to be a packed day of rich and exciting scholarship!
