Just a little note of praise for Irish Passport Service as all we tend to hear is bad news of long waits. I applied online on bank holiday Monday afternoon (granted, for a simple renewal) and today - just 2 working days later - I’m holding my new passport in my hand. Very impressed!

I think it’s amazing that Dublin Airport haven’t tweeted since yesterday - imagine how much angst could have been alleviated for people if they were updated every 30 mins or so. Even if it’s bad news - just communicate - failing to connect in crisis looks like a failure to care.

I'm waiting in the @askryanair live chat queue - I was in position 193 fifteen minutes ago, and now I am in position 55. They close the chat at 8.30pm I believe. To say I'm on edge is an understatement of epic proportions!
