We are pleased to share our most recent work led by Tim Luongo and in collaboration with Lulu Cambronne published nature. Thank you to all those who contributed to this exciting work.

Kudos to my colleague Lulu Cambronne & collaborators (ClubCambronne, Baur Lab, & more) for a beautiful paper nailing down the long-missing human mitochondrial NAD+ transporter. A tour de force, using humanized yeast to boot! rdcu.be/b6YBL
It's been unknown how NAD+ gets into human mitochondria. Tim Luongo, Jared Eller, et al discovered that "Solute carrier family 25 member 51", an uncharacterized member of a large transporter family, has this key activity. Its name reveals just how little we knew about it before..
Congrats to Lulu Cambronne and her team of UT-Austin students Jared Eller Jessie Lu Paul Oliphint on this exciting publication! Well done!
