What a great start to the soil collection from the Danish site with Faculty of Natural Sciences - Aarhus University Aarhus Universitet SDU Science, and Universität Hamburg! Thanks Carmen Leiva-Dueñas 𓆉 and Marianna Lanari for capturing the team in action. #saltmarsh #ClimateChange experiment
And that's a wrap - Soil collection complete in DK; so fast! Way to go Ella Logemann @jimonjimonster Cintia Quintana Carmen Leiva-Dueñas 𓆉 and all the others #saltmarsh #teamwork. Next stop, Universität Hamburg to set up the soil for a long-term #ClimateChange experiment. BiodivERsA3
A joint field training session on GHG emission measurements lead by @lukka_alm for NordSalt and RTG2530 from Universität Hamburg under Kai Jensen mentorship. A little snow does not stop field work (or GHG emissions)!
The #NordSalt team sampling the long-term common garden experiment Universität Hamburg to test how #increasingtemperature affects #CarbonCycling in Nordic #SaltMarsh ecosystems!
And today, the long-term common garden experiment is turned on Universität Hamburg by @jimonjimonster!
“Digging in the dirt looking for carbon” - @Mikokoloko, Ella Logemann & Kathryn Nicol taking sediment cores in the salt marshes on Graswarder/Heiligenhafen - close by a red Salicornia europaea patch, the color is caused by stress factors such as heat, drought, salt etc. 2/9
As the 2. ecosystem for #blueCarbon studies, #Seagrass meadows were sampled at Bottsand/ Wendtorf: Ella Logemann, Svenja Reents, Kathryn Nicol & Theresa Fett started the day by marking sampling points. Later on, sediment cores were taken & subsampled, with Jennifer Prugger. 3/9
2 days in, collecting soil and #biodiversity data in #Norway, 3 days to go! What a great welcome from the SINTEF team. Can't wait to share more ~ with Ella Logemann Kai Jensen Carmen Leiva-Dueñas 𓆉 and more.

Little last day impression on my #research stay in Sydney. What a beautiful (and sunny) time! Unfortunately didn't manage to get into the field so had to do a last minute stop at Olympic Park to see some Aussie #saltmarshes and #mangroves. Thanks to Neil_Saintilan for having me!
