A1: Students need to feel safe and loved and know they have potential and can do it if they try (and their teacher believes in them)! Optimism! #MasonEdChat

A2: Students. at times, ask me things that I may not have/know the answer to. I always tell them I don't know but that doesn't meant I can't know. We look it up together! They need to see that I'm a learner all the time too! #masonedchat

A3: Being honest... in half day kindergarten (90 minutes to teach ALL subject areas) where most kids can't read, I find this very hard. I think it's easier in some curriculum areas than in others. I'm trying to learn and try new ideas for more voice and choice! #masonedchat

A4: Misconception--personalized learning is free for all learning that doesn't follow the curriculum. #masonedchat

A5: First thought is... Wow! That is not how my education system was set up or the education system of our students' parents! It's so true but crazy to think how different things are and need to be! But we can do it... slow and steady! #masonedchat
