#Iran: UN experts, incl.Mai Sato, report at least 81 executions in August, an alarming surge from 45 in July. 41 people were executed for drug offences, contravening the #ICCPR which restricts the #deathpenalty to the ‘most serious crimes’, understood as intentional killing.
