How wholesome is this?! 🥺 This is how Georgians stand together - our strength lies in unity, just as our coat of arms reminds us. No one should be left behind when facing the regime’s oppression. #GeorgiaProtests

"Cease Aggression of Russia!" 8 April 1989, Tbilisi, Rustaveli Avenue. 35 years later, it’s the same story. Same villain. Same courage. We are stuck in a loop: Georgians always standing up, Russia always the aggressor. When does it end? 📸Reno Siradze

"Russian invaders go home!" "Freedom to Georgia" "Long live independence of Georgia" 8th of April, 1989, Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪 The same slogans, but 35 years ago. Being a neighbor to Russia really is exhausting. 📸Reno Siradze

Freedom comes in many forms: in names, in faces, in those who stood unarmed yet unshaken. Today, we remember those who became freedom through their sacrifice. We will never forget their names and we will never stop praying for them. Eternal glory to the heroes of 9th of April!

While Georgian Dream officials issue vague statements about a "foreign force" being behind the April 9 massacre; let's be EXTREMELY CLEAR - it was Soviet troops. It was RUSSIA. They killed our people and 36 years later, refusing to name the oppressor is a betrayal to the nation.
