Once again teachers and students are having to deal with extreme heat in the classroom. We continue to push the board to ensure that every school has a heat stress plan in place in the event of extreme heat conditions like today

And so it begins in classrooms, nursing homes and shop floors across the province. And sadly there is NO OHSA legislation around heat stress!
Join me tomorrow as the OFL launches our Heat Is On campaign demanding legislative change! All workers must be safe!

With increased costs due to inflation and inadequate funding, #onted school boards across Ontario are again being asked to do more with less. If trustees are genuinely committed to supporting children & prioritizing student achievement and well-being, they must reject cuts

Cuts in #onted aren't just numbers on a spreadsheet; they represent fewer front-line staff to support students with special education needs, longer wait lists for assessments, fewer mental health supports in schools, and decreased student resources overall. Say no to cuts!
