The Butterfly Companions work closely with the brilliant RCHT Chaplaincy team. We regularly refer patients to each other and the chaplains are available to support volunteers who have encountered a difficult situation and want some extra support 🦋
This week the RCHT butterfly companions supported a patient + his partner by walking their dogs around the hospital grounds! And today Val and Penny had a lovely Pets As Therapy moment with Aggie before all 3 valued volunteers set off on their visits 🐾🦋 Anne Robson Trust
What a wonderful start to the weekend Anne Robson Trust 🦋. I can’t wait to share this lovely feedback with the team. V grateful to the visitor who took the time to write this at such a hard time for their family. Thank you 🙏

So sad I’ve spent the day of the Butterfly Companions Christmas party in my sick bed 😥. My fab RCHT Volunteers and RCHT Chaplaincy colleagues hosted brilliantly and we won the Anne Robson Trust countrywide quiz!! The cards I made the volunteers 🦋🌲⬇️
Thanks Julie Skentelbery for the chance to talk BBC Cornwall about the Butterfly Companions supporting dying patients & their families RCHT. This pilot was generously funded by RCHTCharity with expert support from Anne Robson Trust. Thanks to RCHT we’re here to stay🦋
Thank you RCHT Chaplaincy for creating this beautiful, simple way for visitors, staff and volunteers to remember loved ones no longer with us, or patients we hold in our hearts ♥️🦋. It was lovely singing as part of the scratch choir at today’s carols in the chapel too 🎵
We’ve got a brill new banner Anne Robson Trust ready for Dying Matters Week, when RCHT staff + visitors can meet a butterfly in The Royal restaurant to learn more about our support in the hospital 🦋
