New publication alert! In the new issue of the #MedienJournal, Ela Forrai, Manina Mestas, & Florian Arendt examine whether Austrians’ intentions to get a COVID-19 vaccine are linked to which news commentator (Mayr vs. Wegscheider) they prefer watching. bit.ly/3vJs6Uw

Key findings: Controlling for demographics, personal politics, & hopelessness, Wegscheider viewers (skeptical frame) were less willing to get vaxed than Mayr viewers (optimistic frame); and, the more (& the more exclusively) they watch either program, the stronger their positions

Our Vienna-Leuven VMCI meeting was a great success! Next to two days of productive work, networking, and reflection, we also had a dinner under palm trees, solved a thrilling “murder” mystery in historic Vienna, and went on a scenic hike to a traditional Viennese Heurigen dinner.
