This aryballos, of Greek origin, is a small, spherical, narrow-necked jar that held ointment or perfumed oil. These jars were attached to the wrist with a leather strap and can be seen in use by athletes in the bathing scenes of Greek vase paintings.

This Kohl tube is incribed with the names of Amenhotep III and Queen Tiyi. This tube is both storage vessel and amulet as it bears the names of the Pharaoh and the Queen in hopes that the divine protection granted the royal family would apply to those who used its contents.
