The scholar award students took part in some sample lectures and workshops with Oxford University last Friday. They learned how to introduce themselves in Turkish, all about the elite slave trade in the Ottoman Empire and how to decode poetry.

On Thursday, girls from Scholar Award and the STEM groups were given the opportunity to listen to some inspirational women from tech industries. There were some brilliant messages about how women are needed and can thrive in a currently male dominated sector.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our parents and carers for supporting our strong attendance as a school. Our current attendance of 93.7% is well above the national secondary school figures (91.3%) and North east figures (90.4%). Thank you!

The KS3 law team have competed in the Magistrates competition at Newcastle Combined Court. The team were fantastic, winning both of their cases against some high quality competition. Narrowly missed out on the next round on a very close points score.

Students from Egglescliffe School Brass Band will be taking part in the inaugural 'Spring Brass' concert on 20 March, 7.30pm at St Mary Magdalene church, Yarm. The evening is also supported by Stockton Citadel Band of The Salvation Army. Tickets are free.

This morning 50 of our Year 11 students enjoyed a rewards breakfast to celebrate their progress in the mock exams. Thanks to Mr Clemie and his team for cooking the breakfast, and congratulations to the students! 🥓 🍳 🥯

Fantastic effort from our Year 7s in their STEM event with @thesmallpeicetrust, taking part in the Road to RIAT: Blast Off! event sponsored by @royalairforceuk. The students used a variety of skills yesterday to complete the challenge.

Before half term, some of our Scholar Students were treated to a discussion and workshop on the radiation in medicine from one the lead radiographers at James Cook Hospital.
