Imagine being handed a high school diploma w/ a decent gpa only to show up to your first college class to discover that piece of paper & gpa were just empty gestures. Schools are simply moving students through the system w/out ensuring they’re prepared to thrive later. Enough!

“…their own truth…” be skeptical of ppl who use this kind of saying.

There is no “my truth”….there are facts & there are opinions. They are not the same.

Teach kids to read & do math. That way they understand the facts & can formulate informed opinions. How about that?

Just stop with the word salads and teach all kids to read proficiently.

This paper shows how using the What Works Clearing House's stringent criteria makes it so the most studied programs - in this case, a reading program with 131 studies! - are not even be considered for review. In fact, less than 6% are selected for review.
