This month, 20 years ago, the House of Commons passed Bill C-38 legalizing same-sex marriage. This made Canada a world leader in 2SLGBTQI+ rights: the third country to pass this law. 🏳️‍🌈 #PrideMonth

Darrin Hagen’s play “The Empress and the Prime Minister” is based on ted northe’s incredible story of community advocacy. Anyone want to help bring the play back to the main stage? 😍💫🏳️‍🌈

Some great information on the history of the legalization of same-sex marriage in Canada. If the Martin government did not pass same-sex marriage legislation on the last day of Parliament, it may never have passed as the Harper conservatives took power for the next 10 years.
