Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena I'm an audiobook fanatic, and they're great for solitary work (weeding the garden, etc.) but sometimes I'm like "whaaat did you say?" when a real person interrupts the flow. I get lots of them free through the library, too

Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena Another wise time-management decision!

Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena Speaking of vacations, my wife and I just returned from a river cruise on the Danube. Best vacation we’ve ever taken. If you and the Mrs. enjoy travel abroad, give it a try.

Ed Morrissey Unless the audio book has the lines read by Jose Ferrer, I would stick with the movie. My favorite movie courtroom scene.

Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena I love audio books! Butler is fantastic! Enjoy!

Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena I recently enjoyed "The Oceans and the Stars" by Mark Helprin, and "Empire of the Summer Moon" by S. C. Gwynne. The audio books are excellent.

Ed Morrissey ZitoSalena My wife and I made the same switch, except I read to her. We put on some classical or 50s Jazz in the background and read a couple of chapters while sipping bourbon or wine. The author’s vary, but I’m working on Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe series and it’s great!

Ed Morrissey He was hilarious in Maverick. Also, he gave Bruce Willis a lot of grief in Die Hard 3.
