Nice thought provoking piece from David Smith about the price of war. Also an interesting titbit at the end about the incorrect inflation figure. Good stuff as always.

We went to see this fantastic production yesterday Upstairs At The Gatehouse Arthur Drury delivered a beautifully tender performance as Nell before Gareth David-Lloyd had us spellbound in the second half as Pistol. One of the best plays we've seen for a long time. ๐

This is interesting as we were speaking to a chap from the DRC at the Bank of England Museum where he said there was so much growth to be had from their resources but at the same told they were being told they couldn't get that growth as it would destroy the planet... ๐ค

How's your economic history? Why not have a listen to our short history of economics to get you started? Of course there are many more we could have added but this is a start. Have a listen and enjoy the terrible accents. Marginal Revolution Economic thought National Museum of American History Heterodox Economics Newsletter @heterodoxnews.bsk

It's the book we've been waiting for! We know our podcasts are Eurocentric in nature & that's why we end our 'Short History' as we do but we're looking forward to continuing our economic journey with Devika Dutt, Carolina Alves, Ingrid H. Kvangraven & Surbhi Kesar. ๐๐๐

New set of videos from @discoverecon, CAGE @ Warwick & Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH) - the last set were fantastic for development economics and this new set look just as interesting. We've just watched the Rwanda one and it is a really interesting use of a natural experiment. youtube.com/playlist?list=โฆ

Great to work with CAGE @ Warwick and Centre for Economics, Policy and History (CEPH) on this new series of video resources for schools - helping to show young people that working in #economics is about far more than #finance discovereconomics.co.uk/post/new-teachโฆ

Our short history of Economics is very short but we see it as a tasting menu for what's out there. Check out some of our favourite books on this history of economics by Duncan Weldon, Andrew Leigh, Niall Kishtainy INFINITE CITY out NOW, Callum Williams, Roger E. Backhouse and SOAS University of London Ha-Joon Chang! ๐
