When workers are divided, we all lose. It's time to unite. Today, we're joining the Together Alliance. Join us on 28 March in London for a message of hope over fear. Firefighters know all about duty. It’s our duty now to take a stand.
On the staircase at Fire Brigades Union head office are the names of firefighters who gave their lives protecting others. Recently we’ve added two more names - Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler. Two of our members lost in the line of duty. We remember them, their families, friends and

The Scottish government's latest budget has failed to deliver for firefighters and communities. Since 2013, 1250 firefighter posts have been axed. Stations across Scotland are crumbling, and many are without toilets or running water. FBU general secretary Steve Wright responds:
In a budget report by Beds Fire, they stated: “37% of respondents supported the increase, with therefore 63% not supporting it”, so they increased it anyway. Make of that framing what you will. Like clockwork, every year - taxes go up & cuts are still imposed BBC East BBC Beds, Herts & Bucks
