BREAKING: government data out today shows that the number of children living in poverty has risen.

4.3 million children are living in poverty across the UK. This is shocking - but it doesn't have to be this way. We must scrap the two-child limit to benefit payments now.

Incredibly sad news and unbelievably damaging to young lives & others who desperately need proper targeted support from our government.

We’re calling on the UK’s leaders to make a plan to tackle child poverty. They should start by:

> Removing the two-child limit and benefit cap
> Raising child benefit by £20 a week
> Rolling out free school meals to all school pupils

Remove the cap & make a move towards ending child poverty

11.3 million people face hunger across the UK.

That’s more than double the population of Scotland.

It shouldn’t be this way. Everyone should have enough income to cover food, bills and other essentials.

And Foodbanks have to pick up the pieces of the current situation.
