What a glorious spring day!
First newt spotted in our much bigger wildlife pond, 3 toads uncovered (and safely moved), 2 bug hotels installed, 1 log pile created. Blue tits nesting in the apple tree, which was humming with bumblebees on the blossom. Love having a garden again.

Mixed emotions leaving University of Miami Rosenstiel School. Happy to be going home and very excited to start a new role at National Oceanography Centre, but I will miss a lot of things about South Florida. It’s been a great experience working for Bill Johns and with his team.

Quite emotional about saying goodbye to my houseplants 😢
