...And that brings us to the end of #RefugeeWeek2023! Thank you so much to everyone who has followed along with our tweets. We're going to do a little recap of what we've shared today.

First, we shared some information about the history and purpose of #RefugeeWeek.

Next, we shared some facts and statistics about refugees across the world.

We shared the real-life testimonies of refugees from Afghanistan, Sudan and Ukraine, which offer an insight into the immense struggles refugees face and their incredible resilience.

We had a really great meeting yesterday at #SYP79 in Orkney! We were discussing ways to take a rights based approach to the climate crisis, and had some really great conversations about what we can do to make an impact.

Today at #SYP80, we had the final EXA meeting of the membership. Lots of great work done to round up our climate and circular economy work, as well as reflecting on our time in the committee and eating some butteries at the same time!!

So excited to announce that I have been elected as External Affairs, UK & Int’ Relations Committee’s Convenor! I’m really happy to be able to build on the work I began as Deputy and then Acting Convenor. A massive congratulations to Beth MacKay for her election as Deputy, we will be such a dream team! ❤️❤️
