"Some of the young people today really brought it back home that we are accountable to them too." When asked about her main takeaways from the #RootsToDiversity Conference, here's what Sandwell Councillor Councillor Sahdaish Pall BEM Pall had to say! @ThatsAllMedia
The work of bringing diverse communities together in the face of deepening polarisation of our society, growing economic inequality and raising level of violence has just moved to another level. Grateful for allies such as Aspire4u CIC for helping us to amplify the voice of our youth.
Listening to YMCA Black Country new strategy focusing on building #SHAPE communities. Wishing you all the best in achieving your goals. 🫶🏼 #stakeholders #collaboration #partnership
Having a strong representation of our youth Aston University & being part of Birmingham Citizens feels like we’re making a history. Massive kudos to all young people bravely speaking out about their lived experience as #migrants #refugees wanting to make a difference🫶🏼
Today our team was at The University of Manchester taking part in the #EUCitizensGathering We will continue to support #EUCitizens in the UK and #EUinUK advocating for a fair and just society where migrants feel welcome.
Talking about the need of high level of professionalism needed when dealing with #crisis during panel discussion Polonia_Camp in order to be effective and efficient. The difference between projects which are nice to have vs must have is stark with the latter not easy “to sell”.
There is a great level of urgency in addressing spiral levels of violence & deepening division amongst our communities which we hope to speak about @ today’s National Faith Conference hosted by West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership The importance of faith to build bridges & give hope can’t be undervalued
Taking centre stage at Yam From Here's day festival last month, were the baked goods from Polish Village Bread . We'd like to extend our thanks to them for providing such delicious accompaniments to the art, music and family-workshops of the Yam From Here festival! #yamfromhere
This week, our Yam From Here team had a fantastic meeting with Jane and Oonagh from Chance Heritage Trust (CHT), who allowed them to explore a part of the old Chance Brothers factory complex in Smethwick. #yamfromhere #migration #blackcountry #art #oralhistory #heritage #heritageuk
