In the practical experiences part of the conference, we just had a very interesting presentation on recent pilots with electronic voting in Albania, by Elira Hoxha, Jona Josifi and Daniela Alimemeti. #EvoteID2024

Yesterday, the conference ended with a roundtable with practitioners from two parts of Canada, Estonia and Switzerland, talking about the state of i-voting in their countries. They shared lessons they had learned. A keypoint: it takes time to do it well and there will be issues.

Then it was time for the poster session, a nice way for young researchers, PhD students and vendors to discuss their projects with the other participants. #EvoteID2024

Day 2 ended with the conference dinner. At a great location, it provided good food and time to discuss the many topics from the conference. #EvoteID2024

During the dinner, the best paper awards were handed out. For track 1 on technic issues, the winners were Thi Van Thao Doan, Olivier Pereira and Thomas Peters with the paper Threshold Receipt-Free Single-Pass eVoting. #EvoteID2024

The best paper award for track 2 on legal, governmental and societal issues this year went to Leo Fel, for his paper A Framework for Voters’ Trust Repair in Internet Voting #EvoteID2024.

And the best paper award for the PhD colloquium track went to Christina Nissen for her project on Investigating Voters' Perceptions of Coercion and Coercion-Resistant Solutions in Internet Voting. #EvoteID2024
