#TeamEU started trip to Northern/ Central Kenya 🇰🇪 (Samburu, Isiolo, Laikipia) this morning. First stop at Laresoro Primary School where #EU helped to connect the school to fast internet. Enthusiastic welcome by the kids, asanteni sana!!

Earlier today our #TeamEurope Ambassadors paid a courtesy call on Samburu County Government Governor H.E Johnathan Lati Leleliit. They discussed shared visions, including support for devolution, local economic development, and rangeland restoration.

Earlier today, our #TeamEurope Ambassadors visited Girgir Comprehensive School, together with Samburu County Governor Johnathan Lati Lelelit, to see how the learners are connected on the #LastMile connectivity project.

Through the European Union's #GlobalGateway initiative, we want to see school children - including the ones living in #ASAL regions - access learning resources online. Girgir School is one of the first beneficiaries of the last mile connectivity project.

At our Mission in Brussels this afternoon, I spent time with our diplomats and staff to appreciate their contribution to our economic diplomacy agenda. A most striking insight gained was that Belgium became the No.1 export destination for our coffee last year earning the country

The project includes construction of a high-yielding borehole equipped with a solar pumping system, an irrigation system consisting of 100m³ elevated storage tank, & a 2-acre irrigated farm.

While in Isiolo, the #TeamEurope Ambassadors visited the EU-funded Digital Land Governance Programme. In partnership with the #GoK and FAO in Kenya , this programme supports innovative digital tools for spatial planning and land governance.

With €20 million in support from the EU, the Digital Land Governance Programme #DLGP is assisting in Land management reform - from digitized registries to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) labs in counties, ensuring transparent, efficient, and secure land records.
