#MWEworks: MINISTRY OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENT 🇺🇬 through the Water and Sanitation Development Facility – South West handed over Rubaya Water Supply and Sanitation System project sites in Itara Parish, Rubaya sub county, Mbarara District to the Contractor to commence construction works.

The project will be supervised by MINISTRY OF WATER AND ENVIRONMENT 🇺🇬 through Water and Sanitation Development Facility - South West with funding from Government of Uganda. M/s Zhonghao Overseas Construction Engineering Co. Ltd has been contracted to implement the construction works.

Government of Uganda The project will boost water supply and sanitation services to 41 Villages in 5 Parishes of Rubaya sub-county. These parishes are; Bunenero, Itara, Rushozi, Ruburara and Ruhunga that are under Kashari South Constituency.

Government of Uganda The system is designed to serve an initial population of 18,065 people in 2027 increasing to 27,917 people by 2047.
