Today C shift crews are simulating a wildfire on Wild Iris Ridge threatening Summit Sky Blvd.

Another day of wildland training for ESF crews. Please consider clearing ladder fuels surrounding your structure. Ladder fuels are shrubs or branches that lead from the ground to you roof.

A shift is conducting wildfire training in the area of Pitchford and Westech in W Eugene today. We appreciate the Musgrove family for use of their property in this important training.

Crews responded to a series of trash bin fires in the Whitaker neighborhood around 1:00 pm today. All fires were under control quickly and the series of incidents are under investigation.

Members from our Technical Rescue Team are in Salem this week training on rope rescue. It’s nice when we get to train with other great teams like Salem Fire Dept !!

Today crews are conducting wildfire drills at Hendricks Park in SE Eugene before heading back to Springfield’s Thurston Hills natural this afternoon.

Battalion 2 crews are currently working on a house fire off of Maynard. The owner is safe and firefighters are searching for pets that were inside.
