Nigeria’s real estate sector thrives mainly on corruption. Once a public official steals, the first thing is to buy house. Check EFCC records. Our real estate is fueled mainly by govt officials/contractors who steal or by fraudsters. That’s why they buy outright without mortgage.

Bobrisky’s offence is a federal one and so Governor Sanwo-Olu cannot pardon him. Only the President can do so based on recommendation from the attorney-general and the council of state. And I doubt if a cross-dresser will be their priority at the moment

Bobrisky pleaded guilty and so cannot appeal the verdict . The most he can do is to file an appeal seeking a lesser prison time. Even that takes a while. By the time the process is through, the 6 months would most likely have lapsed except he has a very influential lawyer
