Did we conceive the structure of neurons incorrectly all these years? nature.com/articles/s4159… Nature Neuroscience not smooth, cylindrical strands but a string of pearls? it's controversial science.org/content/articl… News from Science Science Magazine

super excited to share that our new study is published Nature Neuroscience!! Here we show that intersectin and endophilin form condensates between the active zone and the reserve pool and maintain synaptic vesicles near the active zone for rapid replenishment. rdcu.be/evi5y

Endophilin-Intersectin collaborative work is now out at Nature Neuroscience nature.com/articles/s4159…. Endophilin has a direct role in synaptic vesicles exocytosis, in addition to its other functions. Thanks to watanabe lab 🔬 lab at Johns Hopkins & Milovanovic lab at DZNE labs

New preprint from Wei-Chung Allen Lee @darbly.bsky.social lab, Brian DePasquale lab, and my lab! If you love (or hate) mosquitoes, have a look: doi.org/10.1101/2025.0… We used TEM to describe the circuitry used for CO2 detection by mosquitoes. As usual with mosquitoes, nothing is as expected! 🌬️🦟
