Speed-dating is a thing that all scientific meetings should do! Today at EMBOaxons2021 we had short, but definitely intense and interesting scientific exchanges. Such fun!

Enjoying the EMBOaxons2021 meeting so much including the axon speed dating this evening. Wonderful to meet such inspiring talented young researchers. Thanks to the organizers

A huge thank you and congratulations to the EMBOaxons2021 3Ms - Maren Engelhardt AxonalPlasticityLab, Maarten Kole, and Matt Grubb Grubb Lab. You had to organize this meeting thrice, yet you delivered 4 fantastic days of science which made us all forget about not being Tuscany 💯

Beautiful final talk at EMBOaxons2021 by Klaus-Armin Nave, on myelin lipids as energy source for axons. Many implications. Also mentioned neuron/glia lipid/lactate shuttle in Drosophila, from Liu, Bellen & colleagues. Lovely example of model orgs influencing vertebrates FlyBase

And at the end of a truly incredible meeting, we thank everyone who helped put it all together, and everyone who participated in such heartwarmingly good spirits. Give yourselves a pat on the back, axon people, you're all legends!

Elisa Galliano EMBOaxons2021 Grubb Lab Hahaha, this is priceless Elisa, thank you 😍 We are thinking about launching "3M Productions", the envy of Hollywood and beyond. We'll recover for a while and see what that future holds. THANK YOU to all our fantastic participants - no people, no meeting! You all rocked!

EMBOaxons2021 We had a great little meeting within a meeting! Fantastic to catch up with all our axons friends worldwide - our speakers, our fab poster presenters, speeddaters, question-askers et al. Hat off to Grubb Lab and Maarten Kole, who still needs to discover Twitter!
