Thank you FAO in Yemen and partners for the cooperation on food security under the Pro-Act I project supported by EUinYemen EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺, and for the opportunity to speak to beneficiaries in this beautiful part of Yemen.
.EUinYemen visited the #ERRYJP women dairy processing unit in #Lahj implemented thru FAO in Yemen which is part of #EU & Sweden in Jordan funded programme ERRY Joint Programme aims to support #Yemeni #women to increase sustainable #livestock production in crisis-affected communities.
A good visit to heritage sites in #Aden where EU 🇪🇺 and UNESCO Gulf States & Yemen renovated cultural heritage sites, generating hundreds of jobs for young people. Preserving culture heritage and creating jobs are at the heart of the EU-funded Cash for Work Project.
EU Ambassadors met ERRY Joint Programme beneficiaries from Aden, Abyan and Lahij. The exhibition showed investments in solar energy, dairy processing, tailoring, honey production and other livelihoods. Supported by EUinYemen and Sweden in Jordan.
Congratulations for first Steering Committee meeting in #Aden for the EUinYemen & Sweden in Jordan-funded @ERRYJP. The EU's commitment to Yemen & all people in need is as strong as ever. Today Janez Lenarčič announced a pledge by European Commission of €193 million for #Yemen. Together with pledges of EU Member States, #TeamEurope provides nearly €385 million in humanitarian aid. #YemenCantWait
Today we signed an agreement to purchase a vessel as part of the United Nations-coordinated operation to remove +1 million barrels of oil from the decaying #FSOSafer tanker off #Yemen's coast, which threatens a humanitarian & environmental disaster. go.undp.org/gG2B #StopRedSeaSpill
