#FELA25 is now open and EIS General Secretary Andrea Bradley makes her address to conference. "After a decade of dispute, with your resilience and solidarity with oneanother you have won another pay settlement and peace in our time"

Education matters, now more than ever: decent societies are built on quality education and that includes further education.

Today is the EIS FELA annual conference. EIS-FELA is a member led organisation, the conference today will set out our objectives for the year ahead through motions and debate by delegates from Scotland's colleges. #FELA25

Jehan Al Azzawi, educators for peace and guest speaker addresses delegates. It is an honour to be here today as you take stock of all that has gone on last year after one of the longest public sector pay disputes in Scotland. Congratulations to you for your victory over pay.

The morning session at #FELA25 had lively debate with motions on the rise of misogyny, the increasing workload of lecturers, consent around the filming of classes and learning materials and much more.

Conference resumes with EIS President Allan Crosbie addressing delegates. "It is no overstatement to say that your victory has had positive consequences for not only the EIS but to the trade union movement as a whole, so we thank you for your resilience last year." #FELA25

The afternoon session of the conference is now underway, with delegates engaged in discussions and debates over further motions that will set the direction of FELA resolutions for the upcoming year. #FELA25

Its not oil and gas or green energy, its both. The oil and gas workers of today will go on to become the green energy workers of tomorrow. These workers must be protected if we are to realise a green and just transition.
