Dead things and false gods have no utterance and no life. We can live by every living Word that proceeds out of God’s mouth. Do you often feel distracted by temporary gratifications? I will focus on the Word!

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” Hebrews 4:12 NLT

Morning Sojourner, God’s Word diagnoses the condition of man’s heart with a surgeon’s accuracy, discerning its spiritual health. It exposes our weakness and unbelief, manifesting Its power, sharpness, and precision.

We must submit ourselves to the Word because God meets us in His Word, and the Holy Spirit works powerfully thro God’s Word. Are you seeking the source of true health, fruitfulness and prosperity? I will lean onto the Word!

“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror.

You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.” James 1:22-24 NLT

Morning Sojourner, God’s love is unconditional, but some of His blessings are conditional. You must meet certain criteria to qualify. God has promised all of us healing, wealth, and success, but you must claim these by faith.

Hearing and obeying God’s word is the platform upon which we enjoy God’s promises. Are you mixing God’s word with faith and obedience? I will trust and obey!

“For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psa. 139:13-14 NKJV

Morning Sojourner, we often battle with feelings of being worthless or unaccepted. Comparing with others will often cause you to feel worse about yourself. You may question your personality and achievements, and suffer from inferiority or low self-esteem.

But God designed you exactly the way He wanted you to be. Do you know that you are a valuable masterpiece in the eyes of God; an original, not a duplicate? Open my eyes Lord!

“… I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” Phil. 3:9 NLT

Morning Sojourner, only when you see yourself the way God sees you will you accept who you are. But if you view yourself according to your own merits you will always have to deal with self-doubt. God’s favor has nothing to do with your actions.

You cannot earn His favor - Jesus earned it for you at the cross. Do you know that you must believe who God’s Word says you are to be able to see yourself as He sees you? I will live by faith!

For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.” Deut. 7:6 NLT

Morning Sojourner, you are somebody special to God. The blood of Jesus has dealt with your sins and failures. We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory; this is why Jesus came. You are God’s special treasure, His choice, whether you feel that way or not.

Don’t focus on your inadequacy and failure, focus on the blood of Jesus and what He did for you. Do you believe that Christ’s blood washed your sins away? Oh the blood of Jesus!

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” Rom 8:31-32 NKJV

Morning Sojourner, Jesus has already defeated satan. He stripped him of his authority and power. Jesus overcame so that you too, can be an overcomer. You are no longer a loser; you are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus.

This is the truth, but it only works when you make it your reality. Your circumstances will make you doubt, but your doubts will not change the truth. Whose report will you believe? I am a world overcomer!
