I offered an amendment to raise the penalty for stealing a firearm $2k or less to a Class 1 Misdemeanor. The defeated house bill proposed a felony (and more).

The Senate sponsor, Senator Sonya Jaquez Lewis, AGREED and urged the Senate to adopt it.
