Three gardens in Dulwich are opening this Sunday 16th June, 2-5.30pm, for Mark Evison Foundation the Mark Evison Foundation. All within a few minutes walk, with roses, herbaceous borders and wildflower meadows at their best. Teas, plant sales. Combined entry £10, children free.

The garden at 24 Grove Park, SE5 8LH is open 11am-4.30pm this Sunday 1st September for National Garden Scheme charities. An inspiring, exotic jungle of lush, big-leaved plants, with plant sales and renowned teas adding to the “wow” factor.

The brilliant Dulwich Quilters exhibition is on at Bell House Dulwich this weekend, Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm. Buzzing with creativity......and just buzzing.

Great to see this year’s Elms4London campaign kick off, a fantastic initiative that has seen a good number of elms planted in Dulwich over the last few years, all doing well.

Some wonderful fungus are fruiting in Dulwich. This is honey fungus, probably feeding on old roots, near the centre of the Village.

Providing disease resistant elms for London is a great initiative by the MGPA, with a number planted in Dulwich already - and more to come this year. Elms were a significant feature of the Dulwich landscape, and now will be again. Fantastic!

It’s always a delight to pass the prefab in Lordship Lane, one of the last survivors of local wartime/early postwar prefabs, with its wonderful front garden. Looking fabulous at the moment, and a tonic for us all.
