Garage doors have gone on but render........ waiting ....waiting ....waiting

14th September 2018 and internal stairs have gone in. The house is starting to look like the real deal. It’s coming together brilliantly.

This is our external colour palette. We decided to render the front instead of bag & paint. Our brick colour for the rest of the House is Austral Urban Silver.

So awesome to see the rendering happening. Seeing the skill of these tradies is amazing. Great work guys.

One of the locals came to check out the build today. He wasn’t shy at all. Gotta say he seemed pretty impressed!!

Starting to look like the real deal now!! Most of the outside complete. Moving forward on the internals now.

Getting close now. Water tank, hot water system, etc all going in. Pre Completion Inspection (PCI) now scheduled for 20 November 2018 (pushed back from 13/11:18). Still waiting for upgraded balcony to be installed but we are assured it’s happening.

A good thing to remember is that sometimes things go wrong. That’s part of the process. Having a site supervisor who is approachable & competent is worth their weight in gold! We’ve been very lucky with ours because things have gone wrong but it’s always been very well managed.

So this happened!!

So just an update since handover. Had no hot water as water tank hadn’t been connected. Flooring put down and entire kitchen and doors are about 16mil too short/long so that’s a bit of a punishment. Doesn’t look our appliances will fit in spaces provided. Haven’t moved in yet. 😞

Still a bit to do with the house. Things keep popping up that need to be fixed. MJH pretty good about most things. Overall the house is beautiful though. Having a view from the balcony like this also helps!!

It’s been a while so I thought I’d post a picture with the driveway & retaining walls completed and Turf laid. It really makes such a difference to the final product.

Finally got the side fences up. Garden looking good too. Just thought I’d post how it’s looking now for anyone interested. Really love our MJH!!
