It's disheartening to see so much of the ultimate community taken in by drama youtube and rightwing grift. I expected the level of vile filth I'm seeing from complete outsiders, but I honestly figured ult plyaers would at least be adjacent enough sympathize more.

Saw that a lot of players are dropping out of Full Bloom. I will be attending Aziz’s memorial service this weekend and catching a late night flight to compete. It’s important for us to come together as a community, support one another, and support events. I really believe it’s

I want to thank everyone who has read this, it was a lot of work. I hope that you continue to share it. For now, I'd like to talk about a common thing I heard, privately and publicly: "I'd like to talk about Hax$ but I am afraid of the response on social media" I wonder why...

Real question how do we get rid of them? People in their frustration always suggest violence which is cool and all but I think is very unlikely to A. Happen and B. Work. I genuinely would love nothing more than a plan of action to make them go away.

This impacts maybe five people total, but i have to drop from nouns bowl. Thumb injury not letting me practice, and it's too close to gamble on heal time, not to mention not wanting to compete out of shape.

Catholics in Melee are likely hoping for Zuppi to be in the next pope for his liberal views but I would like to submit that Tagle is also fairly liberal and much less likely to support rolling back box nerfs.

Look at kagiribi upsets, and I'm so happy I play a game with "boring" and "predictable" results. Give me high skill ceilings and big gaps any day of the week over developer mandated variance. May the better player win.

I'm passed being passionate about hating these people, but I genuinely hope this is a wakeup call for anyone who still believes these people cared about hax.

I know this just a silly joke, but we talk about it CONSTANTLY. Thing is, your reaction time only slows a few ms per decade. Even a tiny amount of practice will easily make up for 3ms difference. And no one is good after work during the week, don't play for keeps at the local.

Sometimes I worry that the necessary self-belief I have as a competitor borders on arrogance and then I read better players say things like this and realize I need more, not less.

Literally the entire community is in agreement about the situation including orgs, top players and influencers. Despite this there’s an overwhelming sentiment of “this community is cooked” or “smash players are defending mango” This is completely untenable

I think FGC hate for smash/melee is unfair and unfounded 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time is any time a smash player uses the word "mixup", where they are invariably describing a situation that is absolutely not a mixup.
