I brought a liter of water to school on Saturday for our open house event. I finished it today. I drank a liter of water over 5 days. No time to drink, no time to pee. That’s the story of my year.

I wanted something warming for dinner but didn’t have much I like so I air fried a bag of baby carrots and dipped them in sweet chili sauce. Not bad.

Today seniors took SATs so I had a small group of top juniors in Precalc where they did a Super Junior Challenge: 10 hard questions, answer as many as you can by the end of class. I now call them The Cabinet. They worked so well together! “Doing hard math is so satisfying!”

A student asked today why squaring both sides of an equation is allowed. Like: Sqrt(x - 7) = 12 If you square both sides, you’re multiplying the left by sqrt(x - 7) but the right by 12. Fascinating question. I have an answer. What’s yours?
