Just the thing in this heat, the DWS pool was filled in after the school closed. Now it's a carpark. I wonder why? Might it not have been an asset to the town? Not to mention to current students @meiriondwyfor Phew, it's hot!! #Dolgellau (Photo 1966 DWS gala)

Loywaf o’r Ser (Brightest of stars) recorded 1966 youtu.be/4LcGWGr59NI via YouTube The whole school sings for an end of term Christmas concert. Chairs scrape, someone coughs. Still lovely!

It's the school birthday! It's a bit of a moveable feast so daygirls could celebrate if it fell at a weekend. We would have been 145. We didn't actually make it to 100 but here we are with our own website and the occasional tweet. Bring on the birthday tea!

Chanced upon Elizabeth Ellis playing for Brythoniaid at MrsSunderland yesterday. Never met Liz before but have now! As a pupil, Liz accompanied the school choir in 1974. You can hear us sing and Liz play on dwsoga.org.uk. Oh my! What a glorious sound Brythoniaid made!

Travelling back on the coach from Belgium with The Hallé Youth Choir who are full of song and joy! Here’s a clip of one of the songs we sung: Hela Rotan by Ken Steven, an Indonesian folk song about a Tug of war!

I can't remember anyone playing anything like Mrs Mills in our cubicle practice rooms/studies, with their somewhat elderly pianos, back at Dr Williams' school - or any school concerts showcasing Mrs Mills' talent for such wholesome 'tinkling of the ivories' :)

We threw our school hats into Bala Lake when we left. We are leaving X. The wonder is we ever Tweeted at all. The school closed 50 years ago. dwsoga.org.uk is still there though. It tells a good story or two.
