Welcome to the Drury University entering Class of 2025. Welcome home! Go forth and be brilliant. And, in these polarized and polarizing times, also be curious, kind, welcoming, inclusive, civil, and, well, … cool. In short, be a Panther.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Drury Panthers fall sports are underway with Drury Women’s Soccer in action and Drury Mens Soccer to follow. Drury Univ. Men's Ice Hockey takes to the home ice tomorrow night & Drury University Volleyball and Drury Cross Country compete on the road this weekend. Let the games begin!
What a privilege to shadow Dr. Blaine Broderick (Blaine C. Broderick, Ed.S) as Springfield Public Schools Principal for a Day at Mark Twain Elementary School. What an extraordinary learning community. Let’s all support our most valuable resources: our schools and our kids!
It was a privilege to host Great Lakes Valley Conference Commisioner, Jim Naumovich, in my Drury University Sports Communication class today. With 25 years of experience leading America’s finest NCAA Division II conference, he “knows of what he speaks!”
What a great Drury University day! First, SRO for former US Archivist, Dr. Colleen Shogan’s presentation on “preserving our history in polarized times.” Now, off to watch Drury alumna and Mansfield MO native Erica Spyres’ performance in 𝐋𝐀𝐖 & 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑. THIS is the #drurydifference
Honored to host Jason Wert - Branson Tri-Lakes News in my Comm Department Ethics and Communication class. He raised provocative questions about truth in the digital age as well as the importance of both objectivity and humanity in these polarized times.
It was an honor to be joined in my Drury University Communication Ethics class by @CRileyNL of the News-Leader today. In this polarized “post-truth era,” her professionalism and fairness should give us all hope for the future.
It’s always a pleasure and privilege to welcome Nyla Milleson, Drury University Director of Athletics, as a guest speaker in my Sports Comm class. Her own story and reflections on the current and future state of Drury Panthers and NCAA athletics were interesting and inspiring.
It was a pleasure to welcome my friend, 2002 Drury University alum Matt Lemmon, VP of Comm/Marketing at Community Foundation of the Ozarks to my Communication and Civic Engagement class today. He's the perfect example of a good person doing good things for/in a good community.
