I have had a fruitful discussion with Hon Raila Odinga in the quest for peace in our country. IO and myself have been advocating for this peaceful resolution of the conflict. The status quo shouldn't stand. Something will change.

We are not saying that a good peace has been signed. We are saying that even if some clauses look inappropriate and uncompromising, let's give our people a breathing space while we work through those loopholes. They've suffered too much.

IO is committed to peace. South Sudanese deserves a rest. The yesterday's event is a beginning of the way forward to full peace.

R-ARCISS gives us the opportunity of mending what we so missed in 2016 and throughout this senseless war. Even if its not that perfect, R ARCISS is the only way towards changes in the country.

In Addis for peace implementation effort. We had the opportunity to read cde James Gatdet Dak's book "my painful story"

We welcome the gesture shown by president Kiir (with regards to peace implementation), in decreeing the country's return back to 10 states.

#Juba, #SouthSudan: #AUPSC met w/ the Chairman of the SPLM-IO, Dr Dr Riek Machar Teny who assured Council of his readiness to form the Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity.

We have discussed in greater length to form the government as scheduled. South Sudanese should not be held hostage any longer. I and the president agreed on the time frame of implementing the other outstanding issues in the agreement.

South Sudan has no known cases of COVID-19. But is not immune from this worldwide pandemic. As #WHO directives entails: always wash your hands with a soap, try not to touch your face (nose, eye or mouth). There's no available vaccine on the disease.

We don't have any new cases of the COVID-19 virus throughout the country. While number of cases throughout the world is slowly declining and improving, please keep social distancing as a priority at all costs.

Progresses have been made. Lack of political will still an impediment. That doesn't need renegotiation of the agreement.

We are not against the elections. we just feel that , a rushed election will not bring any meaningful stability. There are too many issues in the peace agreement that Must be implemented. نحن لسنا ضد الانتخابات. ونشعر أن الانتخابات المتسرعة لن تحقق أي استقرار ذي معنى.

2/ the regime of Salva Kiir doesn't believe in the existence of famine around the country. To them it's a tool to punish opponents.

3/ it's our believe that Kiir regime is trying to use his National Dialogue as a delaying tactic in resolving the conflict.

We want to reiterate that the Pakistani Dar Petroleum workers were not kidnapped but extracted during the fighting in Adar State 1/2

We have formed a committee to investigate their involvement in the fight when govt troops attacked our defensive position in Guelguk 2/2

We expect the committee report on the two Pakistani Engineers and all others POW extracted in Guelguk fight soon.

We wish to confirm that the two Indian Dar Petroleum Engineers and Pakistani national extracted from the fight in Adar are now released 1/2

The three engineers are currently in their nominated location of choice where they would be able to meet their families. 2/2
