I spent the last 2 weeks at the Health Sciences Centre, Manitoba’s largest hospital. More patients face end of life there than anywhere else in MB. I was struck by how desperately HSC needs a dedicated palliative care ward.

I implore our health leaders to make it so.

A good day to remember that the most fundamental measure of human decency is how you treat the vulnerable and marginalized. I believe that was the central message of that Jesus fellow, before the assholes got hold of him.

Today I received a helping hand from a complete stranger. Suffice to say, I was in trouble with a big problem and this guy came and spent his day rescuing us. My faith that there is goodness out there is restored. Many thanx to all of the unsung Good Samaritans!
