Haw'aa and gratitude to the Council of the #Haida Nation for hosting indigenous leaders and scientists including the Kashia Band of Pomo to discuss "People working together to take care of abalone" last week in Haida Gwaii. A powerful and meaningful week for everyone involved.

Gratitude to The Nature Conservancy for hosting scientific and Tribal partners to discuss restoring sunflower sea stars or "qha chuli" in the Kashia language. 5 billion sea stars perished on the west coast from 2013-16. Baby steps of major work to bring these important predators back.
