Standing in solidarity with my partner and the women of Iran, who like most Iranians are protesting a corrupt, sick regime that clings to power under fantasy mandate, shuts down the countries internet to stifle dissent and murders it's citizens with impunity. #IranProtests2022

Gratitude to UC Davis for highlighting recently published research led by Isabelle Neylan Dr. Sara E Boles (@abalonequeen.bsky.social) and myself looking at the effects ocean acidification on abalone across generations. Cumulative stress from OA threatens these species and growers should take steps to mitigate.

Gratitude to The Nature Conservancy for hosting scientific and Tribal partners to discuss restoring sunflower sea stars or "qha chuli" in the Kashia language. 5 billion sea stars perished on the west coast from 2013-16. Baby steps of major work to bring these important predators back.
