Alhamdulillah! Excited to be part of the Wellcome-funded AeDST-HORN project! We’re developing mathematical models to forecast dengue and chikungunya patterns in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia, powering online decision tools for risk-based surveillance and control.

Our study is the first to identify Ehrlichia minasensis globally in camels, goats, sheep, &Somali cattle, and to detect Ehrlichia ruminantium in Somali cattle. Enhanced tick control and disease surveillance to protect livestock &livelihoods in the region r needed. MDPI
