GP Crisis
There is a GP funding crisis affecting the ability of patients to have access to a Doctor
GP practices receive approximately £165 per patient per year on average, this is for all services, and only increased £13 since 2015, representing a 20% cut in real terms.

The result is practices can no longer retain or recruit GPs. This is a deliberate NHS England decision with funding diverted to PCNs for ARRS (Additional Role Reimbursement Scheme) which doesn’t allow for GPs to be funded.
So a deliberate policy decision to starve GP practices

Funding other roles and patient numbers per GP have risen to 2300 on average, a rise of 500 since 2015.
This on the backdrop of Government manifesto pledges of more GPs, 5000 (2015) and 6000 (2019), instead there are 2000 fewer.

It stands to reason if you cut funding by 20% you are not going to get 20% more GPs.

Can’t see a GP, blame NHS England board and Government MPs
