Donald Trump: “I hate Taylor Swift”. Dolly Parton: “Taylor Swift is amazing what she has done with her career. I just admire her very much and how she’s handled her business, her personal life and what all she has meant to so many young people. [She’s] been a great inspiration.”

They're in the walls: With this amazing new find of a skull deposited inside a niche in a special communal building at #Sefertepe in the Urfa region, the pattern of Pre-Pottery #Neolithic mortuary ritual thickens, apparently including #excarnation and #exhibition of the dead.

When this became law in occupied Netherlands a lady I used to know who was a student at the time got a whole bunch of the stars and sewed them onto her dress, a dress full of stars, when she walked into her classroom everyone applauded.

#FrescoFriday from Villa San Marco in Stabiae, Campania. Lavishly decorated leisure rooms (dietae) around nymphaeum feature small paintings along dado eg Perseus w his gladius lifting the head of a medusa in a rich red panel, observed from above by musician playing a lyre.

At 3,400 years-old this delicate woollen bonnet is a remarkable survival from the Bronze Age! It was made using the ancient ‘sprang’ technique which produces a textile with natural elasticity. From Bredmose bog, Jutland, Denmark. National Museum, Copenhagen. 📷 my own

#Neolithic textile production: an amazing find! A charred spindle with a charred ball of flax thread. Found in the pile dwelling settlement of Sipplingen-Osthafen, Lake Constance, dating 3316-3306 BC. The damp environment has preserved it in good condition.
