Learning win- a student has just started in a research lab for 1st time. She was asked if she understood what the data in a Western blot showed. Confidently she said “yes” because we had just practiced with sci literature in our intro course. She came to tell me in office hrs!

I’m really enjoying and feeling spoiled by my Duke University biology students. Each undergraduate student can use up to $70 of FLUNCH funds per semester. Students do the inviting, set up the reservation, and pay. What a treat to lunch and meet students for extended time!
