Fascinating work from @ReisESousaLab on two very hot topics – Vitamin D can help to regulate the gut microbiome in mice to favour bacteria that provide immunity against cancer. This is an important first step to understanding the mechanisms at play here.

Scientists at the Crick, National Cancer Institute and Aalborg Universitet found that vitamin D encourages the growth of a type of gut bacteria in mice that improves cancer immunity.
