Looking forward to this volume on Civil War graves hitting the shelves in 2023! I contributed a chapter on General Meade's trusted warhorse, Old Baldy, whose Civil War career and post war life offer a fascinating tail.

Killed in action on this day in VA 158 years ago, Maj. Charles J. Mills. My new book, which is a revised and expanded edition of the late Gregory A. Coco’s 1982 limited, privately published volume, tells the story of this dedicated, Harvard-educated soldier. Available April 19.
